Speaker, Mentor, Nuclear Industry Leader, Consultant, Entrepreneur & Investor
STEM & Clean Energy Advocate, ED&I Champion
I’m Sara Dolatshahi, a trailblazer and dedicated leader with a passion for empowering individuals to lead themselves, their careers, and their lives. With decades of experience operating nuclear power plants safely and reliably, I’ve developed a collaborative and situational leadership style that drives trust, accountability, and excellence in high-stakes environments.
As the first female shift supervisor at Ontario Power Generation’s Pickering Nuclear Power Plant, I broke barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry, paving the way for others to follow. My commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion led to a 30% increase in female representation in federally licensed nuclear operations, earning me a nomination as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women in 2020.
My leadership extends beyond operations to critical audits, including Nuclear Safety Review Board assessments and IAEA OSART missions, ensuring the highest standards of nuclear safety and reliability. Presenting to international audiences has enriched my global perspective on operational excellence and collaborative solutions.
Leadership, to me, is about more than titles—it’s about inspiring action, fostering collaboration, and addressing tough societal challenges. Whether guiding Canada’s national strategy for radioactive waste management, mentoring future engineers, or championing energy-efficient home improvements, I am committed to innovative, ethical, and inclusive solutions.
Join me as I share insights, experiences, and strategies to help you lead with purpose and make a lasting impact in your community and beyond.
